Trails + Town

Just a heads up, RZR RIPN’ RENTALS is not a park. Our machines cruise on Michigan State Land trails, starting right across from our shop. St. Helen, a famous ORV and off-road hub in Michigan, is a shared space with wildlife, quads, dirt bikes, horses, and more!

In St. Helen, you can take machines on the right side of roads to grab gas, food, or shop. The ORV speed limit in town is 25 MPH, but no speed limits are posted on the trails.

- Valid driver’s license required: Make sure to have a valid driver’s license to operate the machine. Failure to provide one at check-out may result in forfeiting your ride.
- Safety gear essentials: Goggles or eye protection are a must. If you bring your own helmet, it must be a full-faced DOT-approved helmet. Please note that bike helmets, open-faced motorcycle helmets, and snowboarding/ski helmets are not allowed. We don’t provide goggles.
- Dress for the weather: Dress appropriately for the weather. In June-September, jeans and a t-shirt are ideal, but expect to get dirty. Bring an extra change of clothes. We provide rain ponchos, trash bags, rags, and extra safety features.
- Stay warm: Layer up, especially from September to November. It’s better to bundle up and peel off layers if needed than to ride in the cold.
- Cooler essentials: Bring a small cooler filled with ice. Warning: The cooler may explode if not full.
- GPS RIDE COMMAND: Our machines are equipped with GPS RIDE COMMAND, built into the touchscreen, with an added Bluetooth radio for an enhanced riding experience.

1. Cancellation Policy: You get a full refund or credit if you cancel or rebook 24 hours in advance. If you can’t reach us by phone, shoot us an email under “Contact” within 24 hours.
2. Operator Cancellation: If we have to cancel or there’s an unforeseen circumstance, you’ll also get a full refund or credit. Call us to cancel or ask about cancellations.
3. No-Shows: No-shows will be charged the full price.
4. Timing Matters: Cancellations or rebooks must be 24 hours in advance—no exceptions. All rental hours apply. Weather doesn’t count for day-of cancellations or rebooks.
5. Late Arrival: We don’t refund or extend hours for being late. 🕒💳
- Helmets (Per Seat): Additional helmets are available at an extra $10 rental fee.
- Guided Route: One pre-planned route equipped inside a machine featuring 1 lunch stop and 1 visit to a local deer refuge park.
- Safety Beacon: Available for server emergencies.
- Safety Course: A 30+ minute safety course. Please arrive early!
- Bungees: Available for coolers (coolers not provided).

- Security Hold: A $1,500 security hold is required at the rental date and time per machine. It is released after a full assessment, which may take up to 7 days if there are damages. Cards can be split or separated for different riders.
- Condition Check: The security hold is released as long as the machine returns in the exact condition it was left. Upon return, the machine undergoes a thorough check, including a test drive, deep cleaning, and assessment of damages. We recommend customers take before and after photos.
- Responsibility: The person placing the security hold (name on the credit card) is 100% responsible for any damages. Riders are responsible for any legal consequences.
- Trailering: Machines cannot be trailered. No pets are allowed.
- Important Notes:
  - Renters are on their own after 6 p.m. for overnight/multi-day rentals. We provide a spare belt, extra routes, maintenance tools, and suggestions.
  - Late arrivals do not extend ride time. Early returns are not refunded.
  - Late return incurs a fee per machine.
  - Trail riding is not weather-dependent; rides continue in rain. Rescheduling is allowed for weather concerns, but no refunds are provided.
  - Off-road machines must be ridden off our property to your destination via legal road and ORV routes.
- Arrival Time: Please arrive 30-45 minutes before the rental start time.
- 1. Renters:
    - Must be 21 years of age or older.
    - Valid driver’s license and credit card required for rental.
  2. Drivers:
    - Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
  3. Passengers:
    - Must be a minimum of 36 inches tall to ride.
    - Boosters and car seats are not permitted in the machines for safety reasons.
  These requirements ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants during the off-road rental experience.
- Embark on a RZR RIPN’ RENTALS Self-Guided Adventure:
  1. Exclusive Experience: Remember, RZR RIPN’ RENTALS is not an ORV park—expect an exclusive, self-guided journey.
  2. Groomed Trails: Explore groomed trails maintained by dedicated volunteers, weaving through captivating state land.
  3. Trail Conditions: Please note that RZR RIPN’ RENTALS does not assume responsibility for trail conditions. You embrace our machines, equipment, and trails in their pristine “as is” state.
  4. Pre-Planned Route: While we offer a pre-planned route, the steering wheel is in your hands to design your adventure, giving you the freedom to chart your course.
  5. Local Riding Regulations: Familiarize yourself with local ordinances as St. Helen permits ORVs on the right side of the road at a comfortable 25 MPH. Trail speeds? No posted limits; let the thrill guide you.
  6. No Cleaning Fee: Enjoy a hassle-free experience with no cleaning fee—just pure adventure.
  7. Trail Responsibility: Take charge of your journey, but remember, venturing onto unauthorized trails necessitates third-party towing arrangements. Our GPS keeps you on designated ORV routes; any deviation holds you accountable for recovery and potential legal consequences.
  8. Insurance & Security: For peace of mind, revel in the adventure with $40 insurance already included in your checkout total. A $1,500 security hold, payable by major credit/debit card at the rental date, assures your responsibility. In the event of damages, hold release awaits full assessment, spanning up to 7 days.
  9. Safety First: Helmets and seatbelts are non-negotiable and are not just required but graciously provided for your safety. Charges apply if seen without proper safety gear.
  10. Zero Tolerance for Impairment: Lastly, adhere to a strict no-drinking and driving policy, ensuring your experience is as safe as it is exhilarating. Embrace the adventure responsibly!

5. Zero Tolerance for Impairment:
  - Strictly no drinking and driving allowed.
6. Weather and Rescheduling:
  - Trail riding is not weather-permitting.
  - If you’re uncomfortable with the weather, you can reschedule your ride.
  - Note that cancellations are not allowed after rescheduling, and we do not offer refunds for weather-related concerns.
